| Hi, I have been proposed a trade. I give up Oden and Green and get Arenas and Ellis. The rest of my team is: Nash, Granger, Salmons, Josh Smith, Brook Lopez, Bargnani, Haywood, Will Bynum, Blake, Beasley, Ford. I am in a 9-cat. Yahoo roto league. I just recently got Bynum and Blake off waivers. I am lacking in points, steals, assists and turnovers. Thanks |
| I like that trade for you especially if you need points, steals and assists. With Jackson gone, Ellis is now the man in GSW and should be solid going forward. Arenas looks healthy - his FG% isn't great right now, but he also gives you want you need. Oden is expendable because you have Lopez, Bargnani and Haywood at center. Plus, you get blocks from J. Smith at PF. Green started off on fire but has slowed down recently. I would make the trade.
Good luck,
Eric |

| Do you think I should pick up Tracy McGrady and drop D. Collison right now? I am excited about T. Macs return? What do you think? Should I take this risk? |
| It's a risk, but it could pay dividends if T-Mac comes back healthy. Collison has decent value right now, but Bobby Brown will also get some minutes. Obviously Collison will lose most or all of his value when CP3 comes back. T-Mac announced that he wanted to come back this month about two weeks ago, but there has been no update since. Picking him up could be a shrewd move, assuming you can afford to have an injured guy on your bench for possibly the next 2-3 weeks. Plus, it's not like you're dropping a "good" player for T-Mac. Collison's OK, but I would take the risk if you can afford to do it.
Good luck,

| should I pick up stephon curry and drop rudy fernandez? 9 category, 10 team league, every day transactions, ft% not ft's made. Thanks |
| I would do it. Fernandez should see increased minutes with Outlaw out but his value is really only in points and 3's. Curry is back in the starting lineup and should be a decent source for points, 3's, steals and assists going forward.
Good luck,

| 12 team h2h league. I clearly have one ofthe top 4 teams, but I'm thinkin of trading for later in the season. My team is
pg:Nash
sg:Vince Carter
G:Arenas
sf:Salmons
pf:Thompson
f:Stoudmire
c:Nene
c:Bogut
util:Westbrook
bench:Haywood,B Wallace,Hayes,Battier,N Rob,Watson,Sessions,Krystic,McDyess. We use daily roster setting.
I was offered Kevin martin & Maggette for Haywood and Bogut. should I do this trade? I could maybe pry Kevin Love,TJ Ford or Ginobili away from this owner. Thx |
| I don't think I would do that deal. Does Thompson qualify as a C in your league. By trading away Bogut and Haywood, that leaves you with only two reliable centers in Nene and Stoudemire. If one of them gets hurt, you could be in trouble. Plus, you obviously lose a fair amount of boards and blocks with that deal. K-Mart is great when he plays, but the injury history is a concern. Maggette's playing great right now, but it's hard to rely on anyone (except Monta Ellis) that plays for the Warriors thanks to Don Nelson. I might do the deal if you can also get Love (assuming he qualifies as a center). I'm not high on Ford this year and Ginobili continues to get hurt.
Good luck,

| I'm in a 6 man league. I have B.Roy,LBJ,J.Johnson,Al.jefferson,b.Lopez,Okafor,M.gasol,J.Richardson,T.Evans,A.Brooks,E.Brand,Westbrook and Scola. I'm weak in 3s,stls and assists. A trade has been proposed for M.Gasol for Ariza. Should I accept? Or pick up someone like L.Hughes? Give me some options please?Would I be weak in Rebs and blks? How can I reduce in games played?I've played 127 already.who should the starting lineup be? I dont want to keep rotating. I can play up to 10 players. Thanks |
| It's tough choosing who to play in a six man league because your team is so deep. Since you've played so many games, you're going to have to stick with a lineup and just accept that fact that some guys will have good games on your bench. Ariza for Gasol isn't a bad trade for you. Ariza gets a ton of 3's and you look like you have rebounds and blocks to spare with Jefferson, Lopez, Okafor, Brand and Scola. Gasol has been great, but Ariza gives you want you need. If you make that trade, the 10 guys I would roll with are: Roy, LBJ, JJ, Jefferson, Lopez, Richardson, Brooks, Ariza, Westbrook, Evans and Scola. You might want to swap Brand for Scola if Brand keeps playing like he did on Wednesday. I wouldn't pick up Hughes. He could start losing minutes soon to Robinson, plus the Knicks are rumored to be close to signing Iverson.
Good luck,

| Should I trade Chris Paul and Louis Williams for Deron Williams and Stephen Jackson? Thanks -CH |
| Hey CH. Absolutely, assuming you are on the Williams/Jackson side of the trade. Deron Williams might not give you the steals Paul does, but he's a solid source for points, 3's and a great source for assists. Lou Williams has played well this year, but the consistency hasn't been there. Jackson played 44 minutes in his debut in Charlotte and it looks like the trade won't hurt his value much. CP3 (when healthy) is a little better than Williams but I think Jackson will be much better and more consistent that Lou Williams. I would make that deal.
Good luck,

| struggling big time in rebounds and fg %. please help. my current roster is - dwayde, nash, gerald wallace, elton brand, jeff green, scola, ariza, salmons, ronnie brewer, blatche, marvin williams, jj hickson. i just dropped tyson chandler for hickson. who else can i pick up for help in the mentioned categories. im thinking of dropping marvin or elton (who has been HORRIBLE!). Players available are biedrins, dalembert, brad miller, varejao, anthony morrow, ilgauskas. your advice is much appreciated.
thanks,
nate |
| Hey Nate. I feel your pain with Brand. I have him in one of my leagues and he has been horrible. I think you have to give him a little more time, though, to see how the injury to Speights affects his numbers. One would think that he should start to get more minutes and hopefully start to produce with Speights out for 2 months. I would drop Williams. He's the fourth or fifth option at best on the Hawks and just isn't consistent enough. How are you doing in your league? I would pick up Biedrins if you're doing OK and can afford to keep an injured guy. He's being re-evaluated and Monday and hopefully will return next week. He would definitely help you in FG% and boards. The next best option is Ilguaskas but only if Varajeo and Shaq miss more time with injuries.
Good luck,
Eric |
